Biography
Dallas Golf was started by Don Gafner in 1983 as a golf club repair shop. Don would travel in his car to and from local courses picking up broken clubs from pros, repairing them, and returning them to the course. Eventually business grew and there wasn't enough time for delivery services, so the pros sent the clubs to Don. The club repair shop evolved into a consignment shop, and that eventually evolved into a full blown retail operation. At the peak of our retail growth, we had 4 Dallas area stores, but we've now settled in on two great locations (Richardson and Garland). Our internet bushiness is what makes us known nationally, and we're growing that as fast as we can. We're always trying to dig up a deal that you can't pass up.
We're most proud of our online trade-in system. It was the first of its kind, and is still the only online system that provides a one price guarantee and a free Fedex Shipping Label. You can trade in against a purchase, or we'll buy your clubs for the same price. We're also proud of our Certified Pre-Owned program. You'll notice the letters "DG" in the title line of our certified clubs. This means they have passed a strict set of inspections and been issued our Pre-Owned Certification. Interests
The Dallas Golf staff has interests that range from golf (of course) to fishing to guitars to soccer to classical music to poker and even one dart enthusiast! We have a 3:00 ping pong (some people call it table tennis) match that usually gets a little heated. We're all good folks who are trying to bring a little happiness into the world by peddling golf clubs. Golf is our passion, and we want to make it enjoyable for you, too.
